At Durley House, our extended services are designed to support families beyond the nursery day, bridging the gap between early years education and primary school curriculum. We have various early years activities and groups children and families can enjoy together.
Additionally we provide various learning opportunities with an aim to enhance primary education delivery. Our experienced teachers plan and deliver sessions which blend curriculum areas through hands on experience, linking to agriculture learning.
We are growing our therapeutic support service delivery which currently incudes various special educational needs, disabilities and differences (SEND) programmes.

Small Groups and Activities
Our Stay & Play saplings sessions are a chance for families to come together in a relaxed, friendly setting. With plenty of space, resources and activities, these sessions give children the freedom to explore while parents and carers connect with others.
Our SPLAT group provides a structured and supportive learning session delivered by experienced staff. SPLAT sessions are for early years children and their parents/ carers who stay and join in the activities.
Stay & Play Bookings
Sensory Room and Hydro Therapy
Our dedicated Sensory Room and access to hydro pool offers calm, supportive spaces for babies, toddlers and children to explore light, sound and texture in a safe environment.
Sessions are guided by highly qualified experienced staff, making them especially valuable for families seeking quiet, nurturing experiences that promote relaxation, focus and early development or specific developmental areas.
Children who attend the nursery automatically have access to these wonderful spaces. The sensory room area can also be hired out for very small groups of up to 6 parents and 6 early years children.
Extended (SENDD) Services
At Durley House, supporting diverse needs and inclusion is at the heart of what we do. Staff are highly knowledgeable and experienced in SENDD practice, we aim to make high-quality support accessible.
OUR SENDD OFFER- Our SENDD team provide an additional family support offer which includes:
- SENDD advice through 1:1, small group sessions and blogs.
- Working closely with wider professionals we are able to signposting to relevant services.
- We are also able to offer more specific child and family support consultation opportunities if required.
Extra Curricular Curriculum Clubs
At Durley House Nursery and Learning, we are delighted to offer a range of enriching Extra Curricular Curriculum Clubs designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Our clubs bring the curriculum to life through exploration and hands-on discovery, allowing children to deepen their understanding in fun and meaningful ways.
Children can take part in themed clubs such as In the moment Maths, Literacy and Illustration, Science and History Explorers, and Creative Arts, all led by our team of qualified and passionate teachers. These sessions encourage children to think critically, express themselves confidently, and make real world connections through play, investigation, and imagination.
By blending structured learning with child-led curiosity, our clubs support every child’s development across key areas – nurturing confident learners who are ready to take their next steps with enthusiasm and wonder.
Homeschooling
Home schooling is a growing choice for families seeking flexibility and tailored learning. Many parents and tutors look for safe, well-equipped spaces where children can learn together, share experiences, and build community.
We are pleased to offer areas of our site for hire to support homeschooling groups. Our spaces are flexible, affordable, and adaptable for different subjects, age groups, and teaching styles.
